Don't get caught out by a new wave of scam emails purporting to come from HMRC.
They will NEVER send you emails :
- notifying you of a tax rebate
- offering you a repayment
- asking you to disclose personal or financial information
- which provide a link to a page or form asking for information. They will only ask you to log onto your online account to check for information.
- which have attachments- unless you have previously given them authority to do so
