According to a recent press release by HMRC, whilst many of us were enjoying Xmas dinner and time with our families, more than 10,000 self-assesement 2018 tax returns were filed on Christmas and Boxing Day.
Angela MacDonald, HMRC’s Director General for Customer Services, said:
" Whether you fit it in while cooking the Chritmas turkey or after the kids have gone to bed, or after the Queen's speech, our online service is available for you to file your tax return at a time that suits you."
If you need to file a 2018 self-assesement tax return your time is running out, as the deadline is 31 January 2019.
